Privacy Policy

1. Information We Do Not Collect

PurePDF has no user accounts and no backend servers. The App does not:

• Require you to register, sign in, or provide any personal details
• Collect your name, email address, phone number, or location
• Upload, store, or transmit your PDFs, scanned documents, or images to us or any external server
• Contain advertising networks, third-party analytics, or tracking technologies

Everything you scan, create, edit, sign, convert, or open is processed and stored locally on your device.

2. Device Permissions

The App requests the following permissions only to provide its features. All data accessed remains on your device:

• Camera — to scan physical documents and capture signature or photo input. Used only when you actively start a scan or capture.
• Photos / Media (Images & Video) — to let you select images to convert to PDF, upload a signature photo, or import files. The App accesses only the files you choose.
• Storage (on older Android versions) — to open PDFs you select and to save your processed files to your device.

You may review or revoke these permissions at any time in your device Settings. Revoking a permission may disable the related feature.

3. On-Device Processing

Features such as document scanning and OCR (text recognition) use Google ML Kit libraries that run entirely on your device. Your images and any recognized text are processed locally and are not transmitted to Google or to us.

4. Sharing Your Documents

When you use the "Share" feature, the App passes your file to your device's standard share sheet so that you can choose where to send it (email, messaging, cloud storage, etc.). We do not control or receive a copy of anything you share. Once shared, the receiving app's own privacy policy applies.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your documents are stored in the App's local storage on your device. Because we never receive your files, their security depends on your device. We recommend using a device lock screen and, for sensitive documents, the App's built-in Password Protect feature. Uninstalling the App removes its associated files from your device.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected or transmitted, the App is suitable for general audiences.

7. Third-Party Services

PurePDF does not integrate any advertising, analytics, or data-collection services. The only third-party component is Google ML Kit, which performs on-device processing as described in Section 3. We do not sell or share any personal data, because we do not collect any.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
